GE Gasket
If you need to replace a leaking gasket on your GE frontloader, then buy this one! The quality is first rate and the price is incredible!! You don't have to pay $150 to $200 for a washer gasket, buy this one instead and install it yourself for a huge savings! While you have to posses some mechicanical ability, you can install this in about 90 minutes. You will need an extra set of hands for a small part during installation. As I said, this is a good replacement gasket for a fraction of the cost and it has been in service now for 6 months without a problem.

The replacement part is a slightly different design than the original. Before ordering, I had checked with GE, and they had in fact revised the part which appears to be exactly what we received at about 45% of the cost compared to the quoted price from GE of about $188. The only issue that I had was figuring out exactly how the new part was to be installed on the stationary drum. Basically I was trying to make it harder than it actually was to install once I figured out how to do it. After installation it works like a charm. I would definitely recommend this item and would buy it again if ever needed.

Great Gasket, Great Price. Install was difficult, but that had to do with the washer and not the gasket; if you are not "handy", expect 4-6 hours to swap them out.
