Just what I wanted!
I was sick and tired of spending money on fans falsely touted as being great, so my mission became finding a fan that was BIG on air delivery/circulation but reasonably priced. After considerable research, I chose this one and am very happy thus far. It came quickly (as has everything I've ordered from Amazon) and nearly fully assembled. All I had to do was stick on the base, set it on the floor and voila! As others have mentioned, it's air output on low is greater than the ordinary fans output on high! FINALLY! I plan to use it lots, whether I'm workout out or just wanting some extra daily cooling. The heat index here has been hovering around or above the 100 degree mark the last several days, and although my A/C is working fine so far this season, I thnik this fan could well save a bit on cooling costs. It appears to be well made and feels solid and sturdy. Also, I needed a fan that could be taken apart easily for cleaning as I'm allergic to dust, and this one can. Highly...

For years, I had $10 box fans from Walmart for my horses, to keep the air moving in their stalls and give them a place to stand where gnats and flies could not settle. When I replaced them, the "same" fans were $14 but were half the width and made of plastic. When I discovered that they weren't powerful enough to move any air, I returned them and upgraded to $34 fans from Home Depot. Those were the same design as this fan, circular, on a base that allows it to be tilted so you can direct the flow of air....except that those were plastic and didn't move any air. Then I spent more and got this fan, on a friend's recommendation. It is made of metal, solid and heavy, and gets the job done. I am very pleased with it; this is actually my second one, since I need one for each stall. It has several settings and could be used in any application. Highly recommend!

This fan rocks. Very sturdy and well built. Pushes A LOT of air. It is pretty loud, but that is expected with this type of fan. I bought it for use in a garage, so i don't really care how loud it is. Don't hesitate to buy!!
