Update: I got a full refund so that I can purchase the right bags for my pump.
Earlier comment:
I purchased the Ziplock VacuumStarter Kit which came with several heavy duty zipper seal bags that have a flat valve to which you press the included plastic pump which removes excess air. They worked great so I then ordered the Ziplock Vacuum Sealer Bag Refills in the quart and gallon sizes. Surprise - there is no zipper closure or valve on these. So I have tried using clear packing tape to seal them and then making a pinhole in the bag which I seal with the tape after I have vacuumed out the excess air with my Ziplock pump. It doesn't work very well this way because the liquid oozes out the taped end. I have not figured out what kind of bags to buy for the pump I have already purchased.
Do not order this to use with the Ziploc Starter Vacuum Kit
The vague description does not address the usage of which Ziploc made vaccum unit this is compatible with. It won't work with the popular Ziploc Vacuum pump unit. I wasn't the first customer to order this thinking it was the replacement bags for the vacuum starter kit.
Refund was issued but time wasted returning and ordering the correct compatible bags, which by the way isn't offered by Ziploc, Freshsavers bags are available but not Ziploc brand vacuum bags. Are they discontinuing this product line??
N/A I ordered the wrong type
FYI ---If anyone doesn't read this (like me)these ARE NOT the vacuum bags (like baggies)---They are open on both sides
